What a game last night, both teams played well enough to win, but it was Peyton Manning and company getting the W. The big difference between both teams to me is that Indianapolis has wide receivers that are clutch and make big time plays, while Miami has talented receivers that don't seem to come up with the big play. Ted Ginn certainly has tremendous speed but I am not sure if he will ever be a top notch Wide Out. He doesn't seem to have great hands and he does not run good routes at all.
Indy still has some issues against the run but getting Ed Johnson (PSU Alum) should help them as the season goes on. Both Defensive Ends Mathis and Freeney are ridiculous, the Dolphins were able to contain them for the most part last night but both players are still going to command attention.
Chad Pennington will get a little heat from the Media, but I don't think you can put this loss entirely on him, after all he was not on the defense that kept giving up big play after big play. If the Dolphins continue to struggle, the Chad Henne Era may begin sooner than we thought.
I don't think the Colts are going to miss Marvin Harrison, not only is Reggie Wayne awesome, but Pierre Garcon is starting to fit in quite nicely for them. You also can't forget that Dallas Clark has tremendous speed for a tight end, so I think the Colts are not going to miss Harrison that much.
That is it for now, will check in later with the Clip of the day.
