In case you weren't aware Plaxico Burress began his two year sentence yesterday for shooting himself in the leg. Now while many people may feel sorry for the former All-Pro Wideout, I really don't, when you are making millions of dollars to catch a football and you are out acting like a jackass I refuse to feel sorry you. Who I do feel bad for is his young family that will have to go on without him for the next two years, if anybody is looking for someone to feel bad for in this situation it is definitely them.
How far has Burress fallen, within the spand of less than a year, he went from catching the game winning touchdown pass in what was considered one of the greatest upsets of all-time, to being locked away for two years and his career possibly being over. Think about it, when he gets out of jail he will be 34 years old, that is like 60 in NFL years.
In this economy when it is hard enough to pay the bills, it is hard to take sympathy on guys that just piss millions of dollars away. Maybe if guys like Burress and PacMan jones would just realize this, then we would be hearing less about these idiots trying to "Make it Rain".
That is all I have to say about that, here are a few more notes from today:
- Michael Crabtree if you really want to play football, tell your agent to go to hell and get your ass out on the field, you are in the perfect situation in SanFranCisco. A decent team who could use another playmaker and has a bright future next year with two first round draft picks.
- The Phillies magic number is down to 5, hopefully everybody gets healthy in time for the postseason.
- How crazy is Milton Bradley? Who knows get him out of the major leagues he clearly is a cancer wherever he goes.
- Sons of Anarchy= Best show on Television
