It is hard to come at a guy who closed out their first world series victory in over 20 years, but sorry enough is enough Brad Lidge has been awful this season for the Phillies and there is no way they can repeat with him as the closer. My question is, who can be the closer? Ryan Madson has struggled in that roll and Brett Myers can't stay healthy.
It will be interesting to see who Manuel calls upon for the postseason, is it somebody different I.E. Chan Ho Park or JC Romero, or do they throw Pedro back there? As Punk Ass Paul said the Phillies would be at 100 wins if it wasn't for Lidge, he has been nowhere near the Closer that he was last year.
What are the Phillies going to do? Hopefully Manuel doesn't continue to be stubborn and stick with his boy Lidge.
