I was at the Phils game tonight. It was awesome. Every time I go to Citizens Bank, I leave thinking about how great a ballpark it is. I was in section 430, which is probably one of the worst in the park, but it was still a great seat.
A cheap ninth inning run with two outs prevented the Phils from getting their third straight shut out.
Washington's terrible baserunning bailed Joe Blanton out all night. He did make pitches when it mattered though, including a three and a third inning stretch where he struck out seven. Another solid performance from Joe. He did not have his best stuff but he battled. I personally feel he is the most under rated player on the staff.
Terrible call in the Red Sox-Angels games cost the Angels the game tonight. It doesn't really matter though with six of the eight playoff spots all but determined.
There was a time line of Andrews' career in Philadelphia. He broke his leg his rookie season. The next year he was a pro bowl alternate. The following two seasons he was a pro bowler. The next year, he battled depression in camp, before hurting his back against Dallas in week 2 ending his season. Finally, we know about this year. I just wonder if there's some preconceived notions that come along with depression. I know football players are supposed to be macho and what not, but it is a serious condition that affects many people all over the world. I just wonder if everything that has happened with Andrews' back would be looked at differently, if he did not have that depression issue at the beginning of camp last season.

Great catch by Dad, but all for naught.
