Finally

Finally Michael Crabtree the prolific wide receiver out of Texas Tech has reportedly signed his contract. Like I said a week ago, this hold out did not make sense considering that the 49ers are an up and coming team and need one more playmaker. Crabtree finally got his head out of his ass, hopefully he is in football shape and can make an immediate impact.

You really have to give credit to Mike Singletary for how he handled this entire situation. From day one he has pretty much stated that he would welcome the young wideout but if he wasn't there, he would not dwell on it. This could be a move that could help elevate the 49ers to become a serious contender. Good for Crabtree now he would be wise to shut his diva mouth and catch the dam football.

Here are a few more thoughts for the day:

- Cliff Lee gets the start today, that doesn't concern me, what does is who is going to close for the Phils?

- Braylon Edwards has been traded to the Jets, on the field this move makes sense for New York, they are lacking a deep threat and he could help them right away. I just wonder how much baggage does this guy really bring considering he was maybe the best player on a bad Cleveland team and they dumped him just like that.

- What a game last night, Go Twins I hope they beat the Yankees!

- Smooth move Cabrera, getting hammered in the middle of your team pursuing a division title. I'm sure the Detroit fans feel real good right now, considering their multi-million dollar man is out hitting his wife and making fun of a 15 year old. Really Classy

- Anyone catch the Flyers last night, yep beat Ovechkin and the Caps, no big deal.
