Jroll Delivers

In a game that was not going the Phillies way, Jimmy Rollins came through with a clutch hit in the bottom of the ninth. Flame Throwing Closer Jonathan Broxton had walked pinch hitter Matt Stairs and hit Carlos Ruiz, then Greg Dobbs came up to bat and hit a soft pop out to third base. At this point watching the game and the way it went I was starting to believe that the series was going to be tied, but Broxton left a fastball over the middle and Jimmy Rollins delivered the game winning hit into the gap and the Phils take a 3-1 lead.

It was a great game, both pitchers were solid and the Phils bullpen actually kept them in the game. If any Dodger fan tries to complain about this game, keep in mind you guys should have lost game 2 so now were even. I mean were up 3-1 but one lucky win deserves another, eat it.

It was not a good week for my picks as Punk Ass Paul picked up two games on me. This will be a battle til the very end, here are a few more thoughts for the day:

- The McNair case is turning out to be a depressing bizarre case, you really have to feel for his family even months after his death has occurred.

- The Broncos are for real, I am on the bandwagon, and they may clinch their division by week 8 at this rate.

- Big win for the Angels, who almost chocked away another game last night, LA should be up 2-1 right now.

- Very impressed with PSU over the weekend, their defense is as good as ever, it will be a tough test this week at Michigan.

Overall Standings:

Big Fred- 61-29

Punk Ass Paul- 57-33
