First off just wanted to give everybody and update, we split on the Picks this past week both going 8 and 5, how the hell did Arizona beat the Giants? I still hold a four game lead heading into week 8. Anyways, last night told me two things, one that the Redskins are so bad up front and Donovan Mcnabb may be done.
It's pretty obvious at this point every knows Washington sucks so I won't get into that. What I will talk about is that Donovan Mcnabb may be done as an elite quarterback in the NFL. Think about it, he is 32 years old which in NFL terms is 42 and he has had how many injuries to add on to that, he is playing as though he is 45 years old. At 45 unless you are Ric Flair you don't pull off the same moves you did when you were 25. He may have a good game or two this season but for the most part I wouldn't be surprised if we saw similar performances to the one last night. I hate to be negative on Donovan but it may be time for Kevin Kolb to take over.
But a win is a win and now the Birds get what looks like a more human team this week in the Giants.
Moving on, the Phillies get the Yankees for the series, (no surprise), every game may end up 11-10 regardless of how good any pitcher may be. Both teams have two hot hitters in Arod and Howard and guys who can hit in the clutch (Rollins, Victorino, Jeter and Posada).
This should be a very entertaining one which could go a lot of ways. Regardless of what happens if I see any stupid New York Mets fan try and post something about the Phillies losing, I may lose my mind.
Mets fans are like x's, you just wanna see them go away (I.E. the Mets the past three seasons in September) but they just find some stupid excuse to come back into your life ( Mets fans trying to tell me that if they would have been healthy they would have beaten us). If the Phillies win the world series this should be the final nail in the coffin for any Mets fan to disappear ( I.E., blatantly cheating on your x so she finally gets the hint and stops calling you)
In what not seemed too long ago where I proved everybody wrong about Lebron, tonight the NBA season kicks off! With that being said I have a few thoughts and 10 BOLD Predictions about the National Basketball Association, my followers enjoy!
I can understand why people are hating on the Sixers to start this season. They collapsed in the playoffs AGAIN! People aren't sold on Andre Iguodala being your best player, I understand all of that, but I still firmly believe that they are in position to be at least fourth in the East.
This is a list of the reasons why the Sixers will exceed expectations:
Igoudala is pissed he has not been named to the All-Star Team yet
Elton Brand is getting healthy and Eddie Jordan has an offense that fits him better
Thadeus Young may have been the best offensive threat last season and he just became an adult last June!
If Lou Williams doesn't fit Eddie Jordan's style he won't hesitate to pull him, likewise for Samuel Dalembert
They finally acquired guys who can strictly shoot three pointers (Kapono, Carney)
Hopefully I am write about all of this so I can get into the NBA Playoffs a little more than last season and here are my 10 BOLD PREDICTIONS FOR THE 2009-2010 NBA SEASON:
1. The Orlando Magic will turn against Stan Van Gundy
2. The Houston Rockets minus Yao Ming and the artist formerly known as Tracy Mcgrady will still make the playoffs
3. Philly will win a playoff series
4. Derrick Rose will become the best Point Guard in the league
5. Lebron will lose patience with Shaq and I can see that escalating (I.E. Shaq's previous run ins with his superstar teammates)
6. Denver will not be back in the playoffs
7. Every time the Lakers and Spurs play this season it will look like a classic Lakers vs. Spurs games
8. Boston will fade down the stretch (see Bold Prediction number 10)
9. The Wizards will march back into the playoffs
10. The Spurs will take down the Laker Empire and defeat the Boston Celtics in 7 games, yeah I said it.
