That's Right

Another Monday night Classic last night, with the Dolphins coming up huge not only for themselves, but for Big Fred as well. God dam it is hard to be humble after pulling off a What were you smoking pick like that one.

What we did see last night is two rising stars at the quarterback position. Mark Sanchez rebounded from last week and Chad Henne was awesome under pressure all game. The main difference in the game is that when the Dolphins want to, they can pretty much run on anybody, the Jets while they have a good running game do not have the power of Miami.

In my opinion both of these teams can make the playoffs, if Miami can get the same production from Henne like that every week, who will stop them? The Jets also are going to be dangerous with their new toy at wide receiver. Braylon Edwards certainly had one hell of a debut for the Green and White. What a game, hopefully we can have Monday Night Classics like last night for the rest of the year. ( Don't count on it with Tennessee vs Houston later this season)

In other news the Phillies advanced to the NLCS with a come from behind victory in Colorado last night. That itself was a great game and the Phils showed great resilience attacking Huston Street who is one of the best closers in the league.

Ryan Howard showed why he has been an MVP and the Cliff Lee deal has panned out quite nice. You have to remember that Ben Francisco was a part of that deal and he himself has been a good addition. The catch he made last night was unbelievable.

Next up is the Dodgers a rematch of last year, LA has a tough bullpen so it should be a good series. The key will be in my mind once again Cole Hamels, now that his baby has been born hopefully he will not have anymore distractions.

What a great night, and we are now 5 weeks into the season and I maintain my six game lead here are the Updated Standings:

Week 5:

Big Fred 10-4

Punk Ass Paul 10-4

Overall Standings:

Big Fred 54-22

Punk Ass Paul 48-28
